  • Sulay is a first-time house owner living in Encino, CA. She started her house renovation journey. She does not have a lot of experience with contraction orflooring, installation but she needs the products and the services.

  • Sulav wants to choose her dream hardwood and carpet floor for her new house and stay within her middle-range budget. She wants to look into as many options as possible taking, into consideration durability, cost, and design.

  • Sulav needs an expert in flooring, that can suggest the right floor for her new house. She needs installers who are ensure. She needs her hardwood floor and carpet to be installed within a month of the contract stated & supervision and reassurance in the process.

  • She feels hopeless due to the lack of information and how difficult to get an estimate from her local flooring shop materials are not going to arrive on time and by default delaying the flooring, completion.

    She needs to be able to get an estimate online or be available to choose the flooring on the website. She is afraid to go over budget due to an error.

"I want to get information on current floor and carpet brands and be able to use the website as a visual aid to help my clients with the choosing, process”.

  • Robert general contractor and business owner based in Los Angeles. CA. Robert is an established Elite Floor Covering Client and manages a close relationship among clients, designers, and suppliers. He has a high-end clientele.

  • Robert wants to please his clients with timeline and work quality. Wants to have a clear funnel of communication between his suppliers and the client. He understands that trends change and wants to have information on newer trends (style and brand).

  • Robert needs to have relievable flooring, a supplier that understands trend and can offer highly customizable products and services for his clients. He is looking, for a supplier that can ensure the quality of its work and needs to get the flooring, carpet material, and installation on time.

  • He does not want to do the job twice due to an error in communication. He has to wait too long, for a product delivery and that affects the timeline of delivery. He finds that pricing can be an issue for some clients and it is difficult to match expectations. The client might use his knowledge about flooring, or carpet and get another supplier.

As I delved into the feedback on the website's design for Elite Floor Covering, I was pleasantly surprised by the positive reception it received from participants. The realization that users found the design visually appealing, with a harmonious blend of colors and imagery, was particularly gratifying. It was reassuring to see that the effort put into selecting the right colors and images paid off, eliciting a sense of professionalism and engagement among users.

Overall Importance of UserExperience:

To create a System Usability Scale (SUS) for the Elite Flooring website usability test with five remote participants, we can adapt the standard SUS questionnaire to fit your specific scenario and the given success rate, time completion rate, and qualitative feedback. We will use a scale of 0 to 100%, with 70% representing Agree (Strongly Agree), 15 Agree, 4% for Neutral, 6 % for Disagree, and 5% (Strongly Disagree).

Post Task Inside:

Participants did not find the tasks particularly difficult to complete, indicating that the website's design and functionality facilitated smooth task execution.

System Usability Scale:

The overarching conclusion drawn from the feedback is the critical importance of prioritizing user experience and usability in the design and development of digital products. By incorporating user feedback and continuously refining the website, Elite Floor Covering can ensure that it delivers a seamless and engaging experience for its users, thereby enhancing brand perception and driving business success.

Despite the positive feedback, the analysis also recognized the importance of continuous refinement and optimization. The recommendation to maintain the visually appealing design while seeking opportunities for enhancement reflects a balanced approach to leveraging existing strengths while striving for improvement.

I realized that one of the core strengths of the website was its ability to provide users with comprehensive and easily accessible information about Elite Floor Covering's products and services. Participants reported a positive experience navigating through the website to find specific details about the product range, installation services, and materials used. The intuitive search functionality, which received an average rating of 80%, further facilitated users in locating relevant information efficiently.

Participants generally found the website's design to be visually appealing, with an average rating of 75%, indicating an "Agree" (Strongly Agree) response.
